So, what’s up with me not posting a blog entry lately? Oh, I know, I have no fecking free time, that’s it.
That’s mostly true because up until about 20 minutes ago, I was playing Battlefield 2 or Battlefield 2142 most of the time. I’ve finally come to the realization that I suck at FPS games. I was once very good at them, but when you come out of a round with an average of 4 kills and 42 deaths, that should tell you something. I’m also sick of how easy it is to exploit glitches in EA’s Battlefield series. I honestly would like to know what we are paying $50.00 for. When I first go into online gaming, it really took off with Unreal Tournament. I hardly had any problems with that game, everything seemed very tight with the coding. Now in 2006, we can’t even make a wall right without people being able to drive into it and spawn inside the building.
I still have Guild Wars, which is fun, seeing as how my wife plays as well. Flight Simulator X is actually fun, the missions are a challenge, and the graphics rock. I also have Tiger Woods 2006, which is made by EA but plays very well. I won’t be hitting a ball through a wall anytime soon.
I can’t remember how many times I’ve given up on FPS’s, but I hope this will be the last time. I get so frustrated with the crappy physics and the 4-year-olds kicking my ass every time I spawn.
Not much else is going on here, just trying to make it day by day without being fired. I feel as if nothing I do is good enough, and I’m not used to being an n00b about PCs. I guess I haven’t found my groove yet. I’m sure it will click soon, especially since I can now focus on something other than my stats.
I’ve seriously been neglecting my Amateur Radio hobby, something I feel will be very beneficial to me in the long run, so I’m going to study for my general rather than frag, it may not be as entertaining, but it’s at least practical.
I’m tired, bedtime.
