*sniffle, sniffle*

The last 6 days have been Hell for me, a good thing I don’t believe it Hell huh?

I was working in the rain last Tuesday and must have caught a chill, because I’ve been stuffed up, ache, and run down ever since. My wife is cooking Shepard’s pie, it smells really good, and I’m sure it will be just what I need to get me back online. I’m crashed on the couch, still in my work clothes. I’m too tired to venture upstairs to change.

This weekend saw us going to Ohio for a couple of days. With the wedding coming up, it was nice to take a little trip to get away from things. I fear all we really got away from was a broken dishwasher and our two cats. No matter, only 13 days left, and it will be over. I’m looking forward to the day, but I am more looking forward to it being done. This has been a very tense point for Sue and me. I think it’s the one thing we argue about, so you can see why I’ll be glad when it’s done.

For one reason or another, none of her family is going to attend. There’s a part of me that’s sad, a very little part, but mostly I’m upset at how childish and petty they can be. We’ve both agreed that if they want to act like selfish brats, then they can do it away from us.

I’ve picked up a couple of freebie website jobs. I’m trying to get my portfolio advanced so that I can start doing web design on the side. Between being under the weather, and the wedding, I fear I haven’t had a lot of time to work on it. Good thing neither of them was a rush job.

The cats are doing well, Noche and Kali have begun sleeping with us at night. They only do it when it gets cold. Sometimes it’s nice, and other times they are complete bed hogs! Noche has taken to sleep on my pillow around my head. I can’t get too mad at her, because it’s either that or between my legs, which makes me unable to move.

Work is, well, work. There isn’t much to say about it. I moved into a cubicle away from the server room. It’s nice out here, the server room was cold and noisy. Not many geeks would want to be away from their tech, but now I have more room for my gadgets!

*yawn*, smells like dinner is almost done, time to see if I can eat a full meal.
