In an effort to stay on top of the game, the game being the computer world, I have upgraded my home PC.
Here are the specs
Motherboard: Asus P4C800-E Deluxe
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 3.2Ghz 800Mhz FSB
Memory: Crucial DDRAM 512MB|64X64 PC-3200B x2 = 1GB Memory
Hard Drive: Seagate 80GB SATA with 8MB Cache.
I’m keeping my CD-RW drive and SB Live Audigy card for now. Last night I installed all the components, so tonight I will be loading up WindowsXP and getting all my apps back online.
I can’t wait to see how Premiere runs on it. Neverwinter Nights will be a good test as well.
I can justify spending the money for the upgrades, only because I use my PC every day, and for more than just gaming. I only have Neverwinter installed, so it’s not like it’s a gaming machine. I hope to start an online business soon, so having a PC that won’t need to be upgraded for about 4 years is a good thing. That, and my previous Asus was giving me grief, apparently, it didn’t like my Radeon 9600XT
